Annual Meeting Held

The annual meeting of the Racing History Preservation Group was held on Saturday, May 9, at Ray Boissoneau’s magnificent private museum in Concord, NH.

The meeting was attended by the largest crowd in the history of the group’s gatherings and included some notable new names including drag racing icon Jack Doyle, ice racing legend Ken Paulsen, and Loudon resident Sandra MacPherson.

Attendees were told that a 2015 groundbreaking with construction to immediately follow is highly likely. Bentley Warren’s post-Christmas gift of $40,000 seems to have been the spark that has unleashed many contributions of $5,000-$25,000. The result is that the needed funds to build are closer than ever.

Following the formal meeting, attendees drove to the site of the new museum where they saw our new sign and posed for photos at the site. It was the first time many members had stood on the ground where the museum will be built.

Many of those who came to the annual meeting drove to New Hampshire Motor Speedway to stand on the land where the North East Motor Sports Museum will be built.

Our architect, Dan Scully, brought renderings of the building and how he sees it sited on the land. Here, he shares his art with Board Member Mark Hann and drag racing legend Jack Doyle.

Our meetings aren’t all business. Here, host Ray Boissoneau entertained the gathering as he zipped around in his vintage Dodgem car.
