A GIFT
The family of Joe O'brien has donated his race car to the North East Motor Sports Museum. Built in 1968 by Phil Libby, the car was successfully raced until 1973. Originally outfitted with a Corvette independent rear end, the car now has the traditional quick change as Obrien drove it. The family has also donated Joe's helmet, driving uniform, racing jacket, shoes and many photographs. The original trailer has been promised. The restoration is first class and faithful to the way the car was raced in most details. It had previously been shown at the annual Beech Ridge Speedway Summer Festival and has been displayed by the museum at the annual Bentley Warren Saloon race car expo in June. Back |
