The First Car

On December 1, 2016, the first car to arrive on the floor of the North East Motor Sports Museum was the #1 modified which was driven by Geoff Bodine to dozens of wins in 1978. The car has been magically restored by Ronnie St. Germain and Mark Alden for its owner Carl Oberg (who in our photo is closest to the car and wearing a blue shirt). In '78 Bodine topped the nation with 55 feature wins, most of them driving this car. Like other cars to be seen in the museum when it opens next spring, the car is as close as possible to the way it was raced. The museum will display all manner of cars and motorcycles with a New England racing heritage.
