race weekend in July, 2017. A record number of people came to the museum and over the five day period of extended hours, many expressed their gratitude that the museum is open with a broad array of exhibits that cover the full breadth of New England motorsports.

A highlight of the weekend was the Joey Logano Fan Club gathering early Sunday morning. Joey sat next to the car he won his first ever Cup race in and signed autographs for everyone who came, posed for photos and spoke at length to the crowd about his racing and his foundation which assists children in need. Those in attendance stuffed 150 back packs that will be given to needy children as part of the Logano Foundation's charity.

The weekend at the museum included personal tours led by the museum's volunteers.

A new tram stop at the museum brought many fans who came to the track and enjoyed the museum as part of their weekend.
