Champion's Car New to the Museum

 CHAMPION’S CAR

The North East Motor Sports Museum is all about New England drivers. Last year, Maine’s Austin Theriault dominated the 20-race ARCA series, winning seven of the series’ 20 events. He began the year winning at Daytona.  Taking home the winner’s trophy at the Elkhart Lake road course, the tight 3/8 mile paved track in Elko, Minnesota, and even on the one mile dirt track in DuQuoin, Indiana and the Salem high banks, Theriault and his team owner Ken Schrader proved that they could win on any type of race track. On Monday, May 21, Theriault’s championship winning car, which had been given to the museum by Schrader, arrived at the museum. It’s one of many new cars on display this year. Pictured is Theriault and the museum’s VP Bob Bianchi who made the 2100 mile round trip to pick up the car with  Bob Bartis and Steve Sawtelle.
