Gypsy Tour Motorcycle ride
Gypsy Tour
The 2018 running of the Gypsy Tour motorcycle ride benefitting
the museum was the most successful in the six-year history of the event.
Beginning at Laconia Motorcycle Week Ground Zero at Weirs Beach, more than 70
riders (a record for the event) had a police escort and police help at every intersection all the
way to New Hampshire Motor Speedway. From wheels up to arriving at the track,
the ride was uninterrupted.
When arriving
at NHMS, the riders took two laps of the track’s road course, then settled in
for an afternoon of enjoying vintage motorcycle racing promoted by Bob Coy.
With complete access to the garage and multiple viewing spots to watch the
races, many riders lingered before heading to the museum.
A single
$10 ticket paid for everything: The
police-escort ride, laps of the track, watch the races, garage access and a
visit the museum.
