DAYTONA PARTY: Slot Car Racing and SnoCross Feb 15th
Kick off the 2020 racing season at the North East Motor Sports Museum on Saturday February 15th with free food and fun at our annual Daytona Party. The party starts at noon and runs until the end of the NASCAR Xfinity 300 which will be shown on our new 12x10 big screen! The party is free for museum members and kids under 12. If you’re not a member become one the day of the event or by clicking here. Non members pay $10 for entry. Scroll down to buy your tickets now. Members, please bring your member cards for entry. For one day only the 60 foot slot car drag strip returns to the museum for guests to test their reaction time and claim bragging rights. The slot car drag strip features a working christmas tree starting light, so don’t red light! In addition to the drag strip the museum slot car oval will be zooming with many makes and models of cars. Also don’t forget to put the pedal to the metal on our iRacing Simulator. The simulator features dozens of tracks and cars. Rev up a midget car at the Chili Bowl or see how fast a NASCAR Cup car can go at Daytona. The simulator allows you to put any car on any track. On display as well will be two karts from Route 106 Race Park. Learn how you can go kart racing in 2020 at the party. Giveaway prizes return to the party and will feature NASCAR die cast, memorabilia and free tickets to the NASCAR Modified and Xfinity doubleheader at NHMS in July. See new cars that have rolled into the museum such as the Richie Evans #61 Ghost Rider Modified, the 1987 NEMA Championship midget driven by Bobby Seymour or a wild 1940 Packard that drove from Peking China to Paris France in 36 days. Enjoy and explore our 25+ race cars and motorcycles and hundreds of artifacts. Once things cool off at the museum the action heats up at the NHMS Flat Track directly behind the museum. For the first time The Flat Track will hold a snowmobile event featuring the Eastern Snocross Tour Championship starting at 4:30pm. For tickets and more info visit the NHMS website. A variety of food will be served at noon so don’t be late! Join us on February 15th to enjoy the museum and talk racing with fellow friends and fans. All proceeds help support the museums mission of preserving and educating individuals about the history of motor racing in New England and the Northeast. NO TICKETS WILL BE MAILED. YOUR NAME WILL BE AT WILL CALL. Back |
