Help us Continue to Preserve New England Racing History

As we reflect on 2024, the museum featured an exhibit of exceptional road racing cars. A record crowd welcomed the Great Race to the museum and the largest and most diverse display of race cars attended our annual race car show. As we further review how we fulfilled our mission, please consider donating to help us continue to honor our regional racing heroes and preserve regional racing past for the future. Donor support is vital in ensuring our ability to continue our mission of discovery, preservation and education of New England motor racing.

  • Our annual Legends Day banner unveiling celebration honored a group of seven road racers who had major success across New England. Sam Posey, Skip Barber, Janet Guthrie, Rob Dyson, Chris Dyson, Jocko Maggiacomo Sr and Jocko Maggiacomo Jr were honored.
  • An exhibit of regional road racing cars featured the Sonny Whelen Corvette, Ray Saidel Jomar SSR1, 1957 Stew Rutherford Special, Peter Ross’s 1932 MG J2, Frank Grimaldi’s Camaro, Sam Posey’s D-7 Can-Am and Skip Barber’s 1970 March 701.
  • The museum hosted the 3rd Annual New England Racers Reunion. A record 82 race cars displayed. Rick Scribner won the Jim Martel Best of Show Trophy with his 1932 Ford Roadster.
  • The last known New England race car to race on the beach of Daytona, the Russ Truelove #226 1956 Mercury arrived for display. A interview with Robin Truelove Stronk took place on July 31st.
  • Ted Parker & Gil Coraine were honored with the 4th Annual Parker-Coraine best of show trophy at the museum’s annual Hot Rods, Muscle and More car show fundraiser.
  • Over 3000 spectators welcomed America’s largest road rally the Great Race to the museum in June.
