Museum Hours and Days of Operation

Open June 10 and June 11, 10am-4pm for paid members who may bring a guest. If you are not a paid member, you can join on either day and then view the museum. The museum will open to the general public daily from June 12-18. Hours on all of these days: 10am-4pm. Watch this space for hours and days of operation June 19 and beyond. We will be closed for a week for paving sometime after June 18.

Gypsy Tour

Gypsy Tour



The annual Gypsy Tour motorcycle ride from Weirs Beach to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway will take place on Sunday, June 11. The ride will include a free pass to the North East Motor Sports Museum and a 50% discount on tickets at New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s exciting USCRA motorcycle races the same day.

LACONIA MOTORCYCLE RALLY WEEK HOURS OF OPERATION

The North East Motor Sports Museum is located at 922 NH Rt 106, Loudon, NH, just north of the Shell station and NHMS Speedway's south parking entrance. The museum will be open on Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11, to paid museum members and those with free admission coupons from the Gypsy Tour. Hours are 10am-4pm. From Monday, June 12 through Sunday, June 18, the museum will be open from 10am-4pm.

On April 27, Bill Binnie's stunning LeMans class winner was rolled onto the floor by (left) Will Petropoulos and Marc Walpot. The car is a 2005 Lola that Binnie drove in world class events in the United States and Europe.

On April 21, Courtney Bergeron-Spacht, her father Bob Bergeron and George Summers delivered the car Ron Bouchard won Talladega with in 1981.

The North East Motor Sports Museum Remembers Racing Great Pete Hamilton



New England racer Pete Hamilton, who passed away on March 22, 2017, began racing in the early ‘60s at the Norwood Arena. Due to his skill behind the wheel and his winning personality he was hired to drive fast cars. He was a charismatic personality, he was a man people wanted to be near and support.

On April 8, from 1pm to 5pm at Midway Buick/GMC, 155 Rt 108 Somersworth, NH 03878 there will be "Casino Museum," a rocking fine time of an afternoon benefitting the North East Motor Sports Museum.

On March 7, 2017, a crew from Image4 came to the museum and installed four huge murals on the walls. Three of them are ten-feet long including the one behind Skip Matczak's 1948 Hilligas sprint car.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s September Sprint Cup weekends have been moved to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway effective 2018. Here’s what that means for the North East Motor Sports Museum. The New Hampshire track is secure and will be in business with its July weekend for decades to come.

Ken Smith



With sadness, we report the passing of Kendall (Ken) Smith. Ken was one of the very first members of the Racing History Preservation Group's Board of Directors where he served as Treasurer on the Executive Committee. The Group has built the North East Motor Sports Museum at New Hampshire Motor Speedway thanks in part to Ken. He was the only treasurer the Museum ever had.

First Trophy



On Thursday, December 16, 2016, North East Motor Sports Museum curator Ray Boissoneau moved the first trophy into the museum's custom-built 25-foot long trophy case. It was won by Bentley Warren in 1969 in his first of six Oswego Speedway Classic championships.

Newest is Very Old



The newest car on the floor of the North East Motor Sports Museum is very old. Built in England in 1932, this J2 MG is owned by Peter and Rachael Ross of Bolton, MA. It was originally raced the year it was built as a factory car driven by Archie Langley and Jack Bastock. It raced at some of Europe's most storied tracks.
